The Growing Up Through Sports (G.U.T.S.) Summer Day Camps are coming!!!
Summer 2013 is a very exciting time for Growing Up Through Sports Niagara, we will be offering our camps out of the new multi-sport facility at the ballhockey.com Athletic Centre. Located at 16 Melbourne Avenue in St.Catharines, this facility is home to the Niagara Ball Hockey Club, BAC Tennis, BAC Squash, BAC Beach Volleyball, The Running Club and there is a restaurant on site!
To register for our camps you can do so by selecting the www.ballhockey.com link, selecting Niagara and following the online registration prompts on the right hand side of the page. This will allow you to select which week of camp you are interested in. Please note that all of our camps are NUT AWARE, and we ask that all campers come with their own lunches, snacks and drinks that are nut-free.
Camp Break Down
Ball Hockey Camp – July 1-5, July 8-12, July 15-19, July 22-26, July 29-August 2, August 12-16, August 19-23
Campers ages 5 through 13 at a cost of $155 plus hst per week
Campers will have the opportunity to learn and improve their ball hockey skills at the ballhockey.com Athletic Centre. This newly renovated first class facility will provide outdoor and indoor ball hockey instruction. Skills and drills will be designed to help the campers gain an understanding of the game and help them use the skills they learn in game play. Sessions will also be broken up to include other activities throughout the camp day with opportunities for scrimmages in the afternoons. Campers are asked to come with their own gloves, stick and helmet ( with cage). Instruction will be provided by Niagara Ball Hockey Club Instructors who have long term experience and membership with the club.
Racquets Camp – Tennis and Squash – July 15-19 and July 29-August 2
Campers ages 8 through 13 at a cost of $155 plus hst per week
Campers will have the unique opportunity to learn Tennis and Squash. Instruction will be offered by BAC Tennis and BAC Squash members. The camp day will be divided between Tennis and Squash and a variety of alternate activities such as ball hockey, indoor soccer and active games. Campers are welcome to bring their own racquets and goggles, however Growing Up Through Sports will also provide equipment for the youth to borrow for camp.
Soccer Camp – in partnership with Concord Soccer – July 22-26, July 29-August 2 and August 12-16
Campers ages 5 through 13 are welcome to join at a cost of $155 plus hst for the week.
Growing Up Through Sports has partnered with the Concord Soccer Club, to bring a new level of soccer camp to the ballhockey.com Athletic Centre camps. Camps will be instructed by coaches that are competitive and have competed at the international level. Campers will be taken through a variety of skills and drills and conditioning techniques that will help them learn and improve their soccer game. Campers will be given time to participate in traditional camp activities as well as receive high quality instructions that will show player development and skill over the course of the camp week.
Ultimate Sports Camp - July 1-5, July 8-12, July 15-19, July 22-26, July 29-August 2, August 12-16, August 19-23
Campers ages 5 through 13 are welcome to join at a cost of $140 plus hst per week
Ultimate Sports Camp is unlike any other sports camp in Niagara, as we are able to provide a unique experience at the ballhockey.com Athletic Centre. Campers will have a chance to try tennis, squash, beach volleyball, indoor soccer, dodge ball and ball hockey. Campers are welcome to bring their own equipment, however Growing Up Through Sports will also provide equipment for those who need to borrow it. Instruction will be instructed and assisted by the members of the BAC Tennis, Squash and Ball Hockey Clubs. This camp is designed for the camper that isn’t quite sure which sports they want to play, so we provide them with an opportunity to try them all.
